We professionally record vocals. That's it. You bring your beat or instrumental — on USB, phone, or laptop — and we capture your voice using a studio-grade microphone and signal chain. You leave with clean, properly exported WAV files. We do not offer production, mixing, mastering, or beat-making.

SHAMMI Studios is based in Hamilton, New Zealand. The exact address is sent to confirmed clients 24 hours before their session. If you're travelling from outside Hamilton, reach out and we can confirm logistics before you book.

Yes — one guest is welcome. If you're bringing multiple people, let us know in advance so we can accommodate. A focused environment produces the best recordings, so we ask that guests remain quiet during takes.

Uncompressed 24-bit / 48kHz WAV files. This is the industry-standard format for raw vocal stems — compatible with every professional DAW including Pro Tools, Logic, FL Studio, Ableton, and GarageBand. Files are delivered via a private Google Drive folder.

Within 24 hours of your session — always. If you need files sooner, add Rush Delivery at booking and we'll have them to you within 2 hours of your session ending.

Files are named by artist name, song title, take number, and date — e.g. ArtistName_SongTitle_Take01_Vocal_Date.wav. This keeps your producer happy and your own file management clean. Need a custom naming convention? Add Custom File Naming at booking.

No. You own your vocals completely. SHAMMI Studios retains no rights to your recordings. We may ask permission to share short clips for portfolio or marketing purposes — but you can opt out of this at any time, before or after your session. Your music is yours.

Yes. A 50% deposit is required at booking to secure your session slot. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session — payable by cash, bank transfer, or card. No session begins without the deposit confirmed.

As far in advance as possible — we have a limited number of sessions available each week. For weekend sessions, we recommend booking at least a week ahead. Same-week bookings are sometimes available — check the booking calendar for current availability.

Cancellations 72+ hours before your session receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations 24–72 hours before receive 50% of the deposit back. Cancellations less than 24 hours before forfeit the deposit, but may reschedule once within 30 days. No-shows forfeit the full deposit. See our full Cancellation Policy.

Yes — reschedules are accepted up to 24 hours before your session at no charge. Use the reschedule link in your confirmation email, or contact us directly. Last-minute reschedules (under 24 hours) are treated as late cancellations per our policy.

As many as you need within the session time. For 1-hour sessions, up to 5 takes per song is standard. We'll identify the strongest takes together and export the best ones. If you need more, additional takes beyond the standard export count are available for $15.

No — and that's by design. Our focus is exclusively on getting the cleanest, most professional raw vocal recording possible. We export clean WAV stems so you can send them to whoever produces or mixes your project. This keeps our service focused and our quality consistent.

If the following slot is available, you can extend at $45 per additional 30 minutes. We recommend booking a larger session if you think you'll need extra time — it's easier and often better value than extending on the day.
