SHAMMI Studios ("the Studio") provides professional vocal recording services at its Hamilton, New Zealand facility. Services are limited to vocal recording, take export, and file delivery as described on this website. The Studio does not provide music production, mixing, mastering, beat-making, or songwriting services.
All bookings must be made through the Studio's online booking system. A session is only confirmed once the required 50% deposit has been received. The Studio reserves the right to refuse bookings at its discretion.
The session start time is the time of the booking, not the time the client arrives. Clients are encouraged to arrive 5 minutes before their session start time.
A 50% non-refundable deposit (subject to the cancellation policy below) is required to secure a booking. The remaining 50% balance is due on the day of the session, before recording commences. Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, and card payment via Stripe.
For bundle packages, full payment is required at the time of purchase. Bundle sessions must be used within 6 months of purchase.

All recordings made during a session are the exclusive property of the client. SHAMMI Studios holds no ownership, licence, or rights over any recordings made at the Studio. The Studio will not share, distribute, or use client recordings for any commercial purpose without explicit written permission from the client.
The Studio may request permission to use short clips (under 30 seconds) of session recordings for portfolio or marketing purposes. This is entirely optional and clients may decline at any time by notifying the Studio in writing.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to perform and record any music or lyrics used in their session. The Studio accepts no liability for copyright infringement resulting from material brought to sessions by clients.
Clients must behave respectfully at all times. The Studio reserves the right to terminate a session without refund if a client behaves in an abusive, threatening, or disruptive manner.
The Studio will deliver exported WAV files to the client's nominated Google Drive folder within 24 hours of the session end time. Rush Delivery (within 2 hours) is available as an add-on. Files remain available in the shared folder for 30 days. Clients are responsible for downloading their files before the folder access expires.
The Studio retains backup copies of session files for 60 days. If a file is missing or incorrectly exported, clients must notify the Studio within 48 hours of receiving the delivery email.
The Studio's liability in connection with any session is limited to the session fee paid. The Studio is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from the use of recordings. Clients attend the studio at their own risk.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved under New Zealand jurisdiction.
The Studio reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued use of Studio services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
